COMPENSATION FUND
Compensation Fund, is a special Fund created to compensate injured parties as a result of a car accident caused by a motor vehicle.
The Albanian Insurance Bureau is the administrator of the Compensation Fund, responsible for the payment of damages resulting from car accidents, caused by uninsured or unidentified vehicles.
GREEN CARD
Green Card or International Motorcycle Safety Certificate, certifies and guarantees Third Party Liability insurance, in all Member States part of the Green Card System, in accordance with the legislation and the minimum limits of insurance coverage at the accident site.
REGULATION
ON ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMPENSATION FUND
This regulation sets out the mandatory rules on the administration of the Compensation Fund and on the delegation, treatment, payment and reimbursement of practices subject to the Compensation Fund, in accordance with the provisions of this regulation and applicable law.
When involved in an accident outside Albania
When you are in the position of the injured party
1. Ask the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident to complete the Friendly Statement of the event (especially if the Traffic Police has not been called to report the event). Be sure to state in this statement the fact of the fault of the party causing the accident.
In Albania, more than 50 accidents occur every day.
The consequences derived from these accidents are material and health.
All citizens who are innocently involved in car accidents and suffer physical injuries have the right to compensation.
In any case, go personally to the Albanian Insurance Bureau or insurance companies, for the benefit of the value of the damage calculated according to the law.
